What's Your Favorite Item From the Pi Sigma Alpha Store?

Pi Sigma Alpha, as you may know from earlier announcements, has teamed up with Cafe Press-- one of the Internet's leading individual and small group merchandising sites-- to offer an array of high-quality ΠΣΑ commemorative and personal member gift items, in response to numerous calls and requests from members in previous years to have such merchandise available for general purchase. Opened last summer, the Pi Sigma Alpha Store has rapidly gained favor among a large cross-section of members and their friends and family as the place to go for logo-branded dress shirts, t-shirts, other clothing and small gift items that tell the world the owner is a proud and accomplished member of ΠΣΑ! Many chapters have also placed orders for shirts and commemorative items to use for chapter events, gifts to members or faculty for service to the chapter and other purposes.

The Newsletter is interested in finding out what you've ordered from the Pi Sigma Alpha Store and what you think of it-- or even if you haven't yet ordered something, what you think of the apparent variety and quality of the merchandise available. Newsletter Editor John Kuzenski, for one, has used a Cafe Press store for many years to produce "fan merchandise" for his Internet radio station, and says he has been particularly pleased with customer reception to the t-shirts and dress/polo shirts; the items are "always as described, and for the shirts that say thick, plush cotton, you get thick, plush cotton," he remarks. Additionally, "the range of items added in recent years has been really impressive, and always of a good quality. Other than the clothing, I particularly like the tote bags, BIG coffee mugs and coasters, and I get regular remarks from office visitors on the ΠΣΑ wooden keepsake box on my desk that I use to keep small, important items safe." Some chapters have used items like the keepsake box or bulk orders of logo magnets as handouts, speaker mementos or prizes at their end-of-year initiation and awards ceremonies, but chapters that are planning to do something like this at the end of the current academic year are reminded to order as early as they can; even though the Store has a good track record of quick shipping using the standard ground shipping option at checkout, early Spring term into the summer is also the busiest time of year for most Cafe Press shops. Also remember that Pi Sigma Alpha benefits from every purchase-- meaning a stronger national organization with even more resources to return to you and your chapter in the way of expanded national programs!     `

If you have comments, suggestions or questions about the ΠΣΑ Store, please send them to editor@psanews.org and we'll share them with both the National Office and the membership in the next issue of the Newsletter. Send us your pictures of chapter members wearing their Store regalia for chapter events or meetings or intramural softball or what-have-you, as well, and we'll show the rest of the Society your smiling faces in the next issue!
