The Pi Sigma Alpha Store: Open For Business!

The latest exciting news for members about Pi Sigma Alpha is the opening of its official Society store at the online vendor Cafe Press, now available at http://www.cafepress.com/pisigmaalpha. The store offers a variety of high-quality ΠΕΑ-branded items for members, faculty, friends of the Society and others to show off their pride in being a member of the only recognized academic honor society for political scientists in the United States! Eager shoppers will find a good selection of beautifully crafted selections, ranging from wearables of all sorts to useful specialty items and commemorative/gift items, that have been examined and used by members of the Executive Committee in testing to ensure a good experience with your every order. What's the best part of the store? Some might say that it's the first-time-ever opportunity to order such a wide range of Society-approved  ΠΕΑ items for personal use, the giving of chapter gifts to speakers and faculty, and so forth. Others, however, might take special note of the fact that although the prices have purposely been kept as competitive as possible with specialty custom-branded merchandise available in other organizations, an appreciable portion of your purchase goes back into Pi Sigma Alpha-- which in turn helps the Society continue to expand both the number of member and chapter assistance programs it makes available, as well as the amount of money it can return to you in this form!!

Pictured above are some of the shirts available at the Pi Sigma Alpha store, which include unisex offerings as well as men's and women's specialty-tailored items. T-shirts generally feature the bold, colorful rectangular Society logo, as you can see from the pictures on the left, while the sweatshirt and baseball jersey on the right have big, beautiful Pi Sigma Alpha round seal designs that are similar to the logo found on the members-only medallion. In the middle, the black polo is a great choice for something slightly more formal that features an embroidered color patch stitched into the left breast.

If you like caps, there are two styles from which to choose-- our "secret tester's" favorite is the baseball cap, which he's owned and used regularly for the past several years (with another logo on it, albeit) for both heavy yard work and general head protection while out and about in the sun! These caps hold up extremely well, according to him, and the adjustable strap is great for all head sizes. In tandem with the baseball jersey pictured above, in fact, your chapter's intramural softball team-- or anything team, for that matter-- doesn't have to go to the bother and expense of ordering custom uniforms in order to look very sharp on the field of battle and scare the daylights out of your opposition (or at the very least, impress them with your style)! 

As noted above, you'll also find useful commemoratives at the store, including one of the secret tester's favorite new finds; the Pi Sigma Alpha keepsake box (left) is a very well-crafted box that comes in your choice of mahogany or black finishes with quality metal hinges that's a great size for storing your chapter pin, Society or other jewelry, graduation medallion and other small collectables. The top of the keepsake box features the rectangular color Society logo on a crisp white ceramic tile embedded in the middle of the lid. On the right is the Pi Sigma Alpha mouse pad featuring a larger version of this logo. Constructed of high-quality rubber footing with a synthetic fabric surface, this is another item "secret tester" has used for years with very good results. Mechanical (ball-style) mice have a very easy time with this item on every use; the placement and size of the logo also ensures that laser mice will have great location referents for easy gliding while you're working on any computer project.

As noted at the header of the Pi Sigma Alpha store page, there are still some items that are offered exclusively through the National Office (fine jewelry, mugs, honor cords and medallions) that must be ordered by the Chapter Advisor alone through proper procedures; these items will not be offered to the general public, nor on an individual-order basis to any Pi Sigma Alpha member.
